The Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Secretariat is currently undergoing a major upgrade following the approval of an asphalt overlay on its internal road network, aimed at enhancing mobility and improving the overall outlook of the complex.
The chairman of the council, Lawal Wasiu, disclosed this while speaking with journalists at the secretariat, noting that the first phase of the project has been successfully completed.
He explained that the initial phase focused on resurfacing critical sections of the premises to address long-standing issues such as waterlogging and deteriorated road surfaces, which had previously hampered smooth movement within the complex.
Wasiu stated that the intervention reflects his administration’s commitment to creating a more conducive and efficient working environment for staff, as well as a more welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
He assured workers that the transformation of the secretariat would be sustained, emphasising his administration’s resolve to pursue continuous infrastructural development across the local government.
The development has been widely commended by staff and residents, who described the project as a practical and visible step towards improving the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the council headquarters.
