The Nigerian Army has commenced online registration for recruitment into its 91 Regular Recruits Intake for trades and non-trades men and women.
According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet and Special Services, Ogun State, Olanrewaju Saka, the exercise began on Monday, March 30 and will run until Sunday, May 17, 2026.
The statement noted that application forms are available free of charge on the Army’s recruitment portal, adding that all applications will be processed online, after which qualified candidates will be shortlisted.
It outlined that applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN), and be medically, physically and psychologically fit. Candidates must also have no criminal record.
The age requirements were specified as 18 to 22 years for non-trades men and women, and 18 to 26 years for trades applicants. In addition, minimum height requirements are 1.68 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
Applicants are also required to have at least four passes in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB, while trades applicants must possess relevant Trade Test or City and Guild certificates.
Shortlisted candidates from the online screening are expected to report for the physical screening exercise at the State Recruitment Centre, 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, between June 9 and June 23, 2026.
The Army urged interested applicants to adhere strictly to the guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful recruitment process.
