OGUN BEGINS “I Am Alive” ONLINE VERIFICATION FOR PENSIONERS

The Ogun State Government, through the Bureau of State Pensions in the Office of the Head of Service, will commence an online verification exercise for all retirees on the state government pension payroll, tagged “I Am Alive.”

According to a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of State Pensions and Chairman of the Pension Fund Management Committee, Arinola Adetayo, the verification exercise will begin on Monday, March 9, 2026 and end on Friday, May 8, 2026.

Adetayo explained that the exercise is designed to ascertain the status of retirees on the state’s pension payroll and ensure the continued efficiency of pension administration while improving the welfare of pensioners.

She disclosed that retirees are required to download the "OGUN STATE PENSIONERS APP" from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store using their Android or iOS mobile phones.

The Permanent Secretary further explained that after downloading the application, pensioners should complete the set-up process by entering their Personal Enrollment Number (PEN) and registered phone number before submitting the required information.

She noted that retirees would then be guided through additional steps on the application, including taking a photograph to finalize the verification process.

Adetayo therefore urged all retirees concerned to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the state government to confirm their status within the stipulated period.
