The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has directed all public and private primary and secondary schools, as well as government technical colleges across the state, to resume for the first term of the 2026/2027 academic session on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The ministry said the resumption date was in accordance with the Ogun State Academic School Calendar for the 2026/2027 session.
A statement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, directed all schools to commence academic activities immediately upon resumption.
The Commissioner also urged parents and guardians to make the necessary preparations and ensure that their children and wards are ready to return to school on the scheduled date.
The ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth commencement of the new academic session and maintaining effective teaching and learning across educational institutions in the state.
