The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has announced plans to hold a crucial stakeholders’ meeting as part of preparations for the forthcoming bye-election in Ogun State.
In a statement issued by the Commission’s Chairman, Babatunde Osibodu, the meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Ebi of Idena Palace Hall, with proceedings set to commence at 12:00 noon.
The Commission urged all registered political parties, community leaders, security agencies, and other critical stakeholders in the state’s electoral process to attend the meeting. Participants have also been advised to be seated by 11:00 a.m. ahead of the official start time.
According to the statement, the engagement is aimed at fostering collaboration among key actors and ensuring a smooth, transparent, and credible electoral process.
The meeting is expected to provide a platform for dialogue, coordination, and the alignment of strategies as the state prepares for the impending bye-election in the area.
