Dr. Akinbode said in the anniversary praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for his continued infrastructure development and people-oriented policies, particularly at the grassroots level. He noted that the administration has constantly remained devoted to the objectives of the State's forefathers through strategic investments in roads, education, healthcare, and agro-allied sectors, while confirming the council's readiness to support the State government's efforts.
In his keynote lecture, a researcher from Tai Solarin University of Education, Prof. Hammed Adeyanju, praised Governor Abiodun's huge advances across multiple sectors, calling him as a real embodiment of the Omoluabi spirit. "We are proud of Your Excellency's dedication to grassroots development. Your 'Building Our Future Together' tagline echoed the ideals of our forefather heroes. It stands tall in the national hall of fame, and the influence can be seen throughout Ogun State, with Yewa North remaining appreciative," he stated.
The Onijale of Ijale Ketu, Oba Bisiriyu Oyero, spoke on behalf of traditional rulers, describing the 50th celebration as one of resilience, structured growth, and continuous planning hatched by visionary leadership, while praising the Governor for promoting inclusive development and maintaining strong ties to traditional institutions.
Party leaders, including Pa Olu Agemo, former Senator representing the Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Kola Bajomo, and Chief Bisiriyu Popoola, praised the administration, stating that its emphasis on sustainable infrastructure and human capital development had helped to boost public trust in governance.
In her remarks, Alhaja Yemisi Abass, the Ogun State Iyaloja General, praised the government's involvement in market development and economic empowerment, noting that better infrastructure had increased commercial activity and helped grassroots businesses.
Similarly, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, Chairman of the House of Assembly Commission and former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, described the Golden Jubilee as a celebration of collaborative progress, emphasising the success of community-driven projects throughout the state.
Highlights of the celebration included cultural displays by primary and secondary schools, masquerade performances, folkloric entertainment, and a raffle draw in which winners received prizes such as deep freezers, solar-powered standing fans, generators, mobile phones, power banks, and various farm tools while musical performances also delighted attendees.
