The Ogun State Government, through the Bureau of Establishments and Training, Office of the Head of Service, has concluded arrangements for a two-day requisite training for Account Officers in the Executive Cadre of the Civil and Public Service.
The training, which commenced on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and ends today, Wednesday, September 2, is focused on Middle Financial Management Courses, aimed at enhancing the officers’ professional skills, productivity and efficiency in the discharge of their duties.
The Permanent Secretary in the Bureau of Establishments and Training, Mr. Akintomiwa Osibodu, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the programme was designed to strengthen the capacity of Account Officers and improve financial management practices across government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
According to him, the training is being held at the Ogun State Drug and Health Commodities Management Agency (OGDHCMA), along Golf Course, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and begins at 9:00 a.m. daily.
Osibodu further stated that the training would be declared open by the Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka.
He urged all concerned Account Officers across the various MDAs to attend the training and arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the commencement of each session.
The initiative, he added, underscored the state government's commitment to continuous capacity development and the enhancement of professionalism within the civil and public service.
